Included in the costs are delivery and collection within the Bristol area, but get in touch if you're outside Bristol and I'll see what I can do.

Please note: I will price-match :-)

The kit comes with 3 transmitters, and some basic disco lights. The system is very simple to use, all you need to do is plug in 3 audio sources, such as MP3 players, laptops or tablets. Smartphones can be connected via the included Bluetooth receivers. It works great with decks too, if you want to go for a proper DJ setup. I will personally show you how it all works, unlike other rental shops who just post out instructions.

I also include an MP3 player loaded with some great dance music, as standard. I've personally organised and hosted over 260 silent-disco events, and have invested a lot of time and energy into finding the best kit, and the best tunes. I love silent-disco and I love to get people dancing! Here's a preview: https://soundcloud.com/naren-wilks/sets/silent-disco-mixes-excerpts

See below for more detailed pricing. I can supply any number of headphones, for example if you wanted 12 or 22.

About me

I'm Naren, and in 2017 I started an event series on Bristol's harbourside called Free Silent Disco, which gets people dancing, for free, in the middle of the city. What I love about the silent disco format, especially public ones, is their ability to bring people together, and help dance-shy people get over their inhibitions. I've held over 260 events of this nature, and on a Saturday night you can often find me on the harbourside, doing my best silly dancing to get the party started. Silent Disco Bristol, this rental shop, grew naturally out of my events series, mostly through word of mouth. Now I can help people organise their own silent disco parties, which is a great privilege.

FAQs
Q: What can I use to play music through the silent disco system?
A: Almost any audio source, for example MP3 players, smartphones (using Spotify etc), laptops, iPads, or DJ Decks. If your smartphone does not have a headphone jack, simply connect via the included Bluetooth receivers.

Q: How many channels are there?
A: There are 3 channels, and the headphones have lights to indicate which channel the wearer has them set to.

Q: How does your kit compare to the competition?
A: I've sampled all of the available kit from the two manufacturers of silent disco equipment, INDA Audio and Shenzen Go-On, both based in Hong Kong. I have chosen the RF-309 headset, which offers the best sound quality (plenty of bass!) with a robust design, which is perfect for parties where things can easily get dropped or thrown around. My transmitters are the TX-50RF model, which again offers superior durability in its design, and great sound quality. Cheaper options were available but I went with the best options to get the best experience for the user.

Q: Do I need a DJ?
A: It's great to have a DJ, or three if you want all of the channels to be playing live performances, but I find that playing pre-recorded DJ mixes works great too.  I have some great mixes that I regularly play at my events on the harbourside in Bristol, which always go down a treat, and which I include on an MP3 player as standard. Here's a preview: https://soundcloud.com/naren-wilks/sets/silent-disco-mixes Furthermore, you have 3 channels to choose from, so as long as you play a range of different styles of music, there should be something for everyone.

Q: What if I want the kit for more than one night?
A: I'm not strict when it comes to the timings of delivery and collection, I prefer to be flexible so I can fit bookings around your commitments and my own, so it could be that I deliver the kit to you the day before your event, and collect the day after. However, if you want to use the kit for more than one night, I ask that you pay an extra fee, which covers the extra usage plus the charger for the headphones. Other companies use couriers, which can be a nightmare.

Q: How long do the batteries in the headphones last?
A: The manufacturer states an 8hr run time, although I've never hosted a party which has lasted that long! The batteries in the lights last about 6 hours, and everything else about 8 hours. If you're careful & be sure to turn everything off when you're not using it, you should get two nights' use from the kit.
